Description

The primary responsibilities will be to provide support to the Nashville Regional Director which includes, but not limited to:

▪ perform duties including: answering incoming telephone calls, scheduling appointments, creating/typing correspondence, creating/updating reports, other duties as assigned
– locating and printing reports
– filing documents
– maintaining up-to-date information on store managers and finalists
– updating files when changing districts or stores
– gathering information requested by the Regional Director or Divisional Vice President
– faxing needed documents
– providing or coordinating technical support on various computer programs
– making copies, organizing and sending weekly mail
– preparing memos to retail associates and customers
– shredding sensitive information
– assisting in the scheduling and coordination of meetings and travel
– tracking, recording and compiling store responses to requested information
– prepare and update PowerPoint presentations as needed for meetings
– other administrative duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• knowledge of retail operations and processes
• excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Publix Connection
▪ knowledge of general office practices and procedures,
▪ professional telephone etiquette,
▪ ability to work well under general supervision and handle multiple tasks and responsibilities,
▪ must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the company,
▪ excellent customer service delivery skills,
▪ retail knowledge/experience preferred,
▪ ability to work in a fast-paced environment,
▪ knowledge of office equipment and operation,
▪ handle a high volume of work accurately,
▪ good organizational skills,
▪ good interpersonal skills (the ability to work well with others and be a participating team member),
▪ obvious enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work, and
▪ commitment to Publix and our Mission.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Business, or equivalent experience
  • 1 year of clerical or office administration experience with MS Office experience and
  • 1 year of retail experience
