Our Corporate Legal department provides timely and cost-effective legal services of the highest caliber. The Senior Healthcare/Privacy Attorney manages and advises stakeholders with respect to legal/regulatory risk associated with the Pharmacy’s business units, retail locations, and warehouse operations. Ideal candidates have exceptional writing, listening, analytical and problem-solving skills. They are detail-oriented and have interpersonal and negotiation skills to work productively when faced with challenging work situations, confidentiality, and time pressures.

What you’ll do

Provide legal advice on regulatory, transactional, legislative, agency enforcement, and other healthcare/pharmacy related legal and compliance issues, and develop and recommend solutions
Review, evaluate, draft and negotiate healthcare/pharmacy contract terms
Interact with regulatory agencies to resolve concerns and administrative enforcement actions
Participate on project teams as a subject matter expert

Required Qualifications

Juris Doctor degree
Member of a state bar association
4 years of Pharmacy Law or 7 years of general Healthcare Law practice experience

Preferred Qualifications

Juris Doctor and Board Certification in Healthcare Law
Member of a state bar association with eight or more years of pharmacy, privacy, and/or general healthcare law practice experience
Bar admission and member in good standing in one state where Publix operates
Knowledge of overall Publix organization and various business area operations
Knowledge of company and business area policies and procedures
Ability to supervise others
